What I didn't want to be
When I started Clark St Homes, I had seen enough of the industry to know what I didn't want to be. The late-night TV infomercials. The bandit signs stapled to telephone poles. The companies that target homeowners in the worst moments of their lives and use that vulnerability to extract maximum profit.
I wanted to do it differently. That starts with being straight about what we are: a business that needs to buy at a price that makes sense for us.
